Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University invites to a set of lectures Quantitative Modelling in Finance. The lectures are aimed at students with background in science who are interested in financial modelling and consider future career in finance and banking. The set consists of 3 lectures with tutorials (exercise solving) tought in English. The lectures have been prepared in close collaboration with HSBC*, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations. Students will have an oportunity to participate in workshops organized by HSBC . Best students will be offered internships in HSBC risk management team. Students who sucesfully finish all three lectures will receive Certificates of completion.

    (winter semester 2023/24:    30h lec. + 30h tut., 6 ECTS)
  • Risk management
    (summer semester 2023/24:    30h lec. + 30h tut., 6 ECTS)
  • Numerical methods in financial physics
    (winter semester 2023/24:    30h lec. + 30h tut., 6 ECTS)
The set consists of 3 lectures with tutorials (exercise solving) tought in English. The lectures will be provided at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of UJ. The first cycle is starting in winter semester 2018/19. Further cycles will follow. The lectures are aimed at students with bacground in science starting from the 3rd year of undergraduate (1st cycle) studies through the graduate (2nd cycle) studies to the PhD (3rd cycle) studies (basic mathematical skills in analysis and probability calculus and basic programming skills are required). The set offers 180h of lectures/tutorials and 18 ECTS pts in total.
